Welcome to my Sunrises and Sunsets

As I can and time allows. Sunrise and Sunsets are one of my favorites. You just never know what is going to happen.

My daughter at the beach during sunsetAnother Sanibel Island sunset. Only this time my daughter was walking around at the beach with me. I thought it would be cool to make her a silhouette against the water.

Sunrise over the Atlantic OceanCentral Florida is one of the best places for sunrises and sunsets. Get to see both over the Atlantic and the Gulf. All in the same day if so desired.

Sunset over Lake OkeechobeeWe were coming home from Miami one evening. Decided to take the long way home for a scenic drive. Stopped for a sunset picture along the way.

Sunset at Sanibel IslandThis is a picture shot on Sanibel Island at sunset. Some pretty dramatic scenes on that Island at sun set. One day I'll capture the green flash, that is my ultimate sunset picture. It doesn't mean I'll stop though. Just have to keep getting out there and burning up film.

Sunrise at Cedar IslandAs my family and I were waiting for the ferry to take us to the Outer Banks of N.C. I decided to go take some sunrise pictures. The sunrise started out pretty bland, but after the sun started to rise above the water the colors changed dramatically. The reflection that the sun gave is simply amazing. It has the appearance that there is two suns.

Sunset over the Pacific OceanThis picture was taken in the summer of 2000 when my family and I were vacationing in Seattle,Wa. I like going to sunrises and sunsets. They are some of the best times to get truly awesome colors. You just never know what is going to happen. Sometimes it is very bland with not much happening, and other times it will just blow you away. You have to be there to get the shot. Patience is everything.

Sunset over a single prop Airplane and GazboThis picture was taken at a place called Chalet Suzanne in Lake Wales, Fl. The sunset was pretty dramatic that evening. The Single prop airplane parked behind the gazebo just made the shot. What else was there to do, I couldn't resist this picture.
